Women have been giving birth since the dawn of our species. For hundreds of generations, childbirth has been considered a completely natural experience. Today, midwives uphold that same philosophy, that birth isn’t a medical emergency but a totally organic process that all mothers experience in one way or another. In Due Season Birth Center is an organization dedicated to helping families experience childbirth in their own unique way, with compassionate care, a wonderful team, and lots of love.
In Due Season Birth Center & Family Wellness is home to a team of dedicated and experienced medical specialists whose ultimate goal is to help families welcome their new babies in a peaceful and non-judgemental environment. The team consists of Licensed Midwives (LNs), Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs), a chiropractor, birthing assistants, nurse practitioners, and even a birth photographer! Their work is centered around Christian moral standards, including honesty and transparency. You will always be the one making your medical decisions. Their job is to help educate you so you can make the decision that is right for you and your baby. Their services provide holistic alternatives to traditional medicine. Above all, their mission is to “create a multi-disciplinary ‘one-stop-shop’ for natural-minded parents in the North Tampa area.”
From the moment you find you’re expecting, In Due Season’s prenatal care begins! Your midwife will monitor you and your baby’s health and advise you every step of the way. You’ll have frequent prenatal visits until you are ready to deliver, including lab tests and ultrasounds as appropriate.
Then, when the big day arrives, you can opt to deliver at home or at In Due Season’s Birth Center! The center has two birthing suites, each of which has a full bathroom and a private mini kitchen. They are serenely decorated for a comfortable birth experience and with plenty of space for you to move around as feels right to you throughout your labor and delivery. The birth center also has a large fenced-in yard and sun porch, so you can enjoy cleansing fresh air throughout your incredible transition into motherhood. Plus, whether you choose to give birth at home or at the birth center, you can elect to have a water birth for your comfort and to help your baby have a more comfortable transition into the world.
Once your baby has arrived, your birthing team will continuously check in on you and baby to make sure everyone is healthy. They offer breastfeeding support, including providing educational material and references to local support groups so you can work to find your postpartum community of new parents.
In Due Season has several in-house specialties and convenient offerings that help them create that “one-stop-shop” experience. Their in-house chiropractor offers services for pregnant mothers to help with alignment. This makes more space for your baby to grow big and strong. Chiropractic care is also great for postpartum moms to help correct hormonal imbalances, pelvic misalignment, and breastmilk production issues.
They also have an in-house physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor therapy. Empowering women who are experiencing any kind of pelvic floor dysfunction, particularly through pregnancy and following childbirth.
Another unique service offered by In Due Season? 4D Ultrasounds! These images give you a close-up look at your growing baby in a totally unique way. They also give you sonogram pictures you’ll treasure forever.
