If you’re wondering what the perfect time of day to do a photoshoot with a toddler is, well thats a loaded question. I do almost all of family sessions around sunset, but I know during the summer in Tampa, it can be hard to keep the little ones up until the sun goes down. To avoid that we started this session a little earlier around 5:30 and moved it to a shady park in case of harsh lighting. I would also highly suggest bringing some snacks and a toy or 2. It really helped keep Ethan entertained and happy.
I don’t often do sessions where the whole family is smiling and looking at the camera at the same time because I like to capture emotion between parents and their children. But, this was an extended family session so they wanted a few large group pictures which of course I am happy to do. Well, Grandpa was the man of the hour as Ethan wouldn’t let anyone else hold him, and so, we went with it. Grandpa it is and I’m sure Ethan will cherish these pictures with his grandparents for a lifetime. Also, love the color coordination that the Bahr’s picked out! The greens and blues really worked for our park setting. Here are some of my favorites images from their family session with Van Epps Photography.
